An archaeological team, including researchers from Egypt, Germany and Austria, has unearthed a real treasure in central Egypt. Led by the Secretary General of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mustafa Waziri, a team of archaeologists discovered hundreds of ancient jars containing the remains of wine. This discovery was made in the Umm El-Qaab area of Abydos, near the tomb of Queen Merneit of the First Dynasty. According to Mustafa Waziri, the jars discovered by archaeologists were very large and in exceptionally good condition, despite their age, which is estimated at about 5,000 years.
The insides of these jugs concealed not only traces of ancient wine, but also important historical information about the culture and customs of that era. Archaeologists hope that analysis of the found remains of wine will help study the past of this amazing civilization in more detail.
In addition to the treasures in the form of wine jars, the team of archaeologists also discovered funerary furniture, which only adds to the mystery of this archaeological complex.
Experts have already begun studying the artifacts found, and it is expected that new discoveries will reveal more about the mysterious aspects of ancient Egyptian history.
