
ROHTASGARH FORT
History :-
Rohtasgarh Fort was built by Rohitashva, son of the famous king Harishchandra of Ayodhya in Treta Yuga. Later, the rulers of Kushwaha dynasty, descendants of Shri Ram's son Kush, ruled the Rohtas Fort for centuries. King Maan Singh of the Kushwaha dynasty rebuilt the Rohtas fort in the 16th century. Rohtasgarh fort is quite grand. And its history has been quite glorious. It has a total of 83 doors, of which the main four are Ghoraghat, Rajghat, Kathoutia Ghat and Medha Ghat. The elephants built at the entrance, the turrets on the doors, the paintings on the walls are amazing. Rangmahal, Sheeshmahal, Panchmahal, Khunta Mahal, Aina Mahal, Rani's Jharokha, Mansingh's court are still present.
