Samsung: One UI 6.1 with Galaxy AI will appear on flagships in 2021 and 2022.

Samsung has confirmed that some of its 2021 and 2022 smartphones will receive the One UI 6.1 update with the proprietary Galaxy AI mobile neural network.

However, select 2021 flagships will have access to a limited set of AI capabilities. These include improved search capabilities and Chat Assist, which lets you customize the tone and style of messages using the keyboard.

Devices in 2022 will have wider Galaxy AI functionality. But even they will be left without Instant Slow-mo, a tool for slowing down video by long pressing the screen. The limitations are explained by the fact that Exynos and Snapdragon chips used in devices until 2023 do not allow them to support some neural network options.

Which devices will receive One UI 6.1 with Galaxy AI:
- Galaxy S21 series;
- Galaxy Z Fold 3;
- Galaxy Z Flip 3 (limited feature set);
- Galaxy S22 series;
- Galaxy Z Fold 4;
- Galaxy Z Flip 4;
- Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets.

In South Korea, the update is scheduled for early May. The global schedule has not yet been revealed, but we can assume that other users will also start receiving it next month.
