Xiaomi has started releasing HyperOS for 2020 smartphones - the base Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra. These smartphones are already almost four years old, and therefore many media outlets assumed that the developers would release a HyperOS version based on Android 13 for these “oldies”. However, Xiaomi was pleasantly pleased by providing the models with a “full-fledged” HyperOS on Android 14.
The firmware number is 1.0.2.0.UKACNXM, weighs about 5.3 GB and includes the April security patch. Distribution has already begun for Chinese modifications; a release for global modifications is still unknown (but it is unlikely to take long).
It is noteworthy that Xiaomi was not too lazy to optimize HyperOS for the unique Mi 11 Ultra with its additional mini-display near the camera block, the logic for working with which probably had to be written separately for the new firmware.
