Experts have found 11 programs that block the installation of Windows 11 24h2.

Some users have encountered the impossibility of updating their devices to Windows 11 24h2, which is currently being tested as part of the Windows Insiders program. as it turned out, this is due to a conflict between the operating systems and certain programs. specialists identified 11 problematic applications and services.

here is the complete list:
1. ConisioAdmin.exe (Solidworks PDM);
2. EaseUS Disk Copy.exe (EaseUS Disk Copy Application);
3. ep_dwm.exe (ExplorerPatcher) with 22H2;
4. iCloudServices.exe (iCloud files that can be shared in Explorer via WhatsApp) from 23H2;
5. RadeonSoftware.exe (AMD GPU performance settings) with 23H2;
6. StartAllBackCfg.exe (StartAllBack) with 22H2;
7. Multi-mon if you have Copilot (Microsoft) on your computer;
8. MergeSdb (Microsoft);
9. Intel IntcOED.sys (Intel);
10. Intel IntcAudioBus.sys (Intel) (%WinDir%\System32\drivers\IntcAudioBus.sys);
11. free Realtek 8192su Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter (Realtek) (%WinDir%\System32\drivers\RTL8192su.sys).

The XDA-Developers portal notes that some of them can still be made to work with the new version of Windows 11. To do this, you first need to remove the problematic program, then update the system, and then install the program again, but with a renamed executable file. This trick definitely works with StartAllBack.

By the way, this is not the first time that some applications with a heavy user interface cause problems when updating Windows.

Before the full release of version 24H2, which is expected in the second half of the year, program developers and Microsoft itself will clearly be working to fix the problems. So we can hope that in the future this list will become shorter or become irrelevant.
